Prevention Educator
The Survivor Resource Center is seeking a dedicated and supportive individual to provide community-based violence prevention education to youth and adults, in schools and community organization settings.
Requirements

Qualified candidates will have an associate's degree, a bachelor’s degree (preferred), or relevant experience will be considered if absent degree, and experience with public speaking.

This position is based in Danville, Illinois and will provide programs to Vermilion, Edgar, and Clark Counties. Travel to presentation locations is required.

On-call rotation required, occasional evenings and weekends required.

Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation as travel is required
Job Duties

Competently provide presentations on areas of violence prevention. (Examples-anti-bullying, bystander intervention, healthy relationships, social-emotional learning, body safety, and more.)

Develop appropriate and current curriculums for presentations.

Participate in awareness/outreach fairs.

Provide professional trainings.

Work with the Vermilion County Violence Prevention Task Force on current goals.

Assist in planning, organizing and participating in Agency Events.
